CHIRP is committed to educating and training future leaders in reproductive, perinatal, and women’s health research. Our team provides PhD students and postdocs with rigorous training, collaborative mentorship, and hands-on experience in cutting-edge population health studies.
Each year, CHIRP typically accepts one PhD student in Epidemiology from the Graduate Group in Epidemiology & Biostatistics (GGEB) who shares our commitment to methodological excellence and impactful research in reproductive and perinatal epidemiology.
Learn More About the GGEBOur mentoring approach is rooted in team science, ensuring that students and postdocs receive guidance from multiple experts across disciplines. Trainees participate in weekly Center meetings where they present research, discuss challenges, and engage with the latest advancements in the field. PhD students develop an F31 or equivalent grant in their second year, while postdocs pursue K99/R00 applications to support their path to independence.
