Dr. Maxwell Salvatore is a Postdoctoral Fellow working with Dr. Yong Chen in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics and Dr. Marylyn Ritchie in the Department of Genetics. Dr. Salvatore is interested in identifying principled methods for analyzing electronic health record-linked biobanks more accessible to researchers. His substantive work has explored COVID-19, digestive cancers, and, more recently, diabetes and obesity.

He is interested in collaborating with new people on a wide range of EHR-linked biobank and large cohort study-based analyses. He received his PhD from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). Outside of work, he enjoys cooking and eating, playing soccer and tennis, and adding new birds to his life list while on hikes with his wife and their mini schnauzer, Sebastian.
