Research Assistant Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology
Marijana Vujković, PhD, MSCE is a Research Assistant Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology. Dr. Vujković’s research integrates genetic, clinical, and molecular biology data by use of state-of-the-art computational and statistical approaches to identify, understand, predict and treat cardiometabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in people of various ethnic backgrounds. Having a better understanding of the genetic architecture of cardiometabolic traits may help healthcare providers identify the underlying disease mechanisms; predict who is at risk of developing disease; and investigate whether existing drugs can be repurposed for other indications.
