
We are delighted to announce that Nandita Mitra, PhD, has been elected President-Elect of ENAR (Eastern North American Region of the International Biometric Society).
ENAR is a leading professional society that brings together biostatisticians and quantitative researchers to advance statistical methods in biomedical and public health research. The organization is known for its annual conference, mentorship opportunities, and commitment to collaboration and professional excellence.
Dr. Nandita Mitra is a Professor of Biostatistics in DBEI and Co-Director of the Center for Causal Inference. Her research focuses on causal inference, observational study design, and cost-effectiveness analysis, particularly in oncology, health policy, and health economics. She has served as the lead statistician on numerous comparative- and cost-effectiveness studies using large observational databases.
She is excited to step into this role and looks forward to furthering ENAR’s mission of fostering rigorous methodology, interdisciplinary collaboration, and an inclusive scientific community.
