Adjunct Professor of Biostatistics
Dr. Rebecca Hubbard’s lab focuses on the development, application, and evaluation of statistical methods for the analysis of real-world data (RWD) such as electronic health records (EHR) and medical claims with a focus on generating robust and equitable research results. The objective of this work is to optimize approaches to the design and analysis of studies using RWD to help make research on health and health care more valid, efficient, and equitable. Current projects include research on statistical methods for mismeasured and informatively observed covariates derived from the EHR, linking complex EHR data including structured data and neuroimaging with prospectively collected longitudinal cohort data, and EHR-based phenotype estimation and analysis . She collaborates with a wide variety of clinical, epidemiological and health services researchers including investigators in neurology, oncology, and radiology at Brown University, the University of Pennsylvania, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute.
