Nandita Mitra, PhD, Professor of Biostatistics and Co-Director of the Center for Causal Inference at the University of Pennsylvania, has been honored with the 2024 L. Adrienne Cupples Award by Boston University’s School of Public Health. This prestigious award recognizes her significant contributions in teaching, research, and service in biostatistics.
Dr. Mitra’s research expertise spans health policy, causal inference, and public health, and she has mentored numerous PhD students. Her leadership roles include chairing committees for the American Statistical Association and the International Biometrics Society, and she is the editor-in-chief of Observational Studies.
