Dr. Chase Latour is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics at the University of Pennsylvania, mentored by Dr. Ellen Caniglia, Dr. Stefanie Hinkle, Dr. Sunni Mumford, and Dr. Enrique Schisterman. She received her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and specializes in the application of causal inference methodology to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of prenatal interventions using administrative healthcare data.

At Penn, Dr. Latour is using novel data sources to evaluate the effectiveness of preconception interventions on pregnancy outcomes. Further, she is applying causal inference methodology to expand the treatment effect estimates that can be derived from clinical trials of prenatal treatments. Finally, Dr. Latour is using insurance claims data to evaluate the impact of prenatal and postpartum telehealth care strategies on pregnancy outcomes.
