Aristedis Sotiras, PhD Image

Aristeidis (Aris) Sotiras, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Radiology in the Division of Informatics in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a principal investigator in the Center for Biomedical Image Computing and Analytics (CBICA), where he leads the Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Imaging Laboratory (AIBIL). Dr. Sotiras received his PhD in Applied Mathematics from École Centrale Paris and his MSc in Mathematics, Vision and Machine Learning from École Polytechnique–École Normale Supérieure. His research focuses on developing machine learning and artificial intelligence methods for medical imaging, with applications in precision medicine, neuroimaging, Alzheimer’s disease, brain aging, and other neurological disorders.
