Mingyao Li, PhD, Professor of Biostatistics at the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology & Informatics, has received the prestigious IMS Medallion Award and been selected as an IMS Medallion Lecturer for the 2028 Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) in Philadelphia.
Presented by the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS), the Medallion Award is one of the field’s highest honors, recognizing researchers for outstanding and influential contributions to statistics and probability. Each year, only eight Medallion Lecturers are selected worldwide across all areas of the discipline.
